REKA Holiday Village, Disentis/Mustér

Starting situation and idea

Fanzun was awarded the general planning contract based on a competition for a study.

Approach

The structure is built around an RCC skeleton with prefabricated roof and façade elements. Energy for heating and hot water supply is derived from pellets. When it was inaugurated, REKA Disentis was the largest Swiss holiday community built to comply with Minergie standards.

Challenges

The client had very definite ideas of how the buildings should look based on other holiday villages which the client had commissioned. The energy footprint of the entire holiday village including six residential buildings, a community centre and a swimming pool was to be optimised.
