Gehren Senior Citizens’ Competence and Service Centre, Erlenbach

Starting situation and idea

The “Gehren” senior citizens’ home and “Spitzliweg” senior citizens’ community are to be substituted by a “New Gehren” Senior Citizens’ Competence and Service Centre with an attached library and children’s play area which the municipality of Erlenbach has planned to build at the site of the existing facility.

Approach

In close collaboration with the municipality and the private operator of the centre, Fanzun guided the general planning team so that operational and commercial requirements were met aside from the high architectural standards. The General Contractor model was chosen to realise the project.

Challenges

In addition to guiding the project team and representing the interests of the municipality, quality assurance in execution was one of the key success factors.
